Frequently Asked Questions
| Q. | I’m generally wary of Free Consultation offers. Won’t I get drawn into a sales pitch for something that I am not interested in? |
| A. | A free consult allows you to explore possibilities without any obligation or monetary risk on your part. There is no sales pitch – just a simple, straightforward conversation regarding the issues you are facing. |
| Q. | Are the Visionary Management programs for everyone? |
| A. | No. They are not for those who want to dabble. Our programs are for self-motivated doctors who are serious about practice growth and committed to professional excellence and personal development.
Real-world practice problems are complex and are usually not solved by purchasing a book, DVD, CD, or instruction manual. Neither can they be solved with free advice and opinions offered by various online dental communities. These products and service can sometimes be helpful, but rarely do they help increase production in a significant or sustainable way.
If it were easy, you would have done it a long time ago and every practicing dentist would be successful. |
| Q. | I’m doing fine. So, why should I consider your program? |
| A. | Compared to what? How do you know you can’t do better?
Ultimately, it’s your life. If you are happy with your current level of income and quality of life, that’s great. |
| Q. | What areas do you focus on? |
| A. | Our focus is on the practice management and business side.
Our experience is that significant practice growth can be achieved with improvements in practice systems, scheduling, hygiene program, case acceptance, staff productivity, overhead control, accounts receivables management, and level of insurance participation.
Being busy does not necessarily translate to success. |
| A. | We can’t help you with external marketing. And neither can we help with purely clinical issues. |
| Q. | Is your program expensive? |
| A. | Three issues are pertinent to program costs: (i) Priority, (ii) Return on Investment, and (iii) Actual Cost.
Priority:
In trying to achieve success in their practice, many dentists will try to fix the problems themselves. After trying this “do it yourself” approach for many years, they don’t get too far. Then they think they can solve the lack of success by purchasing a laser or CAD/CAM machine. Purchasing fancy dental equipment or taking clinical CE courses will help enhance clinical excellence, but it will not boost your bottom line. It will not resolve the business and management problems that are the underlying reason for lack of success.
The end result is that these dentists keep passing over opportunities to increase wealth because they are too scared to spend money on a good consultant or mentor, who could accelerate their learning curve by 5-15 years.
Return on Investment:
If you look at return on investment, this can be one of the best investments you ever make. If you follow our recommendations and take action, chances are you will recoup your investment in a few months. In fact, the investment could pay for itself thousands of times over.
Let us assume your annual bottom line is increased by $50,000 (which is a highly conservative and modest goal) and you have 10 years left in your career. Your net gain is $500,000. The one-time cost of our program is small compared to this type of gain.
Cost:
A variety of options are available in various price ranges. See the page: How We Work Together.
A problem-focused program may make sense for you rather than a full-fledged 9-month program. Such an approach will resolve one primary issue within your practice, while keeping cost low.

| Q. | I tried something like this before and it didn’t work for me. It was a lot of work and practice production did not increase at all. |
| A. | There are good and bad professionals in all fields, including consulting, dentistry, medicine, accounting, law, IT, engineering, marketing, or anything else. |
| Q. | Do you guarantee results? |
| A. | All work will be a joint collaborative effort between your office and Visionary Management. We guarantee the quality of our work and provide on going support and guidance for implementation. However, you hold the key to execution.
You should also recognize that there are variables outside our mutual control that can have a profound impact on your practice, such as loss of a key staff member, closing of major corporation or union in your neighborhood, or the emergence of a larger competing practice. |
| Q. | Will this program disrupt my practice and cause staff to leave? |
| A. | No. It is our intention to work with what you have. Any staff changes are at your discretion. |
| Q. | What are your credentials? Why should we consider Visionary Management among all the other options available? |
| A. |
- We’ve actually run a dental practice for over a decade. We’ve walked in your shoes, faced the very problems you experience on a daily basis.
- We have formal academic business training as well as Fortune 500 corporate management experience. See About Us page for more details.
- As a two-person team, we bring both management and clinical perspectives to the table.
- You and your team work directly with the owners, and not with associates or junior employees.
Compare these credentials and experiences with those of other consultants and consulting firms in the dental industry. |
| A. | References are available upon request. |
| Q. | Is your program only for mature practices? |
| A. | Customized programs are available for new practices as well. See New Dentist Programs. |
