I first met Peter and Hema back in 1999 when they started their practice. I repair and supply dental equipment to their office as well as dozens of other dental offices in NY, NJ and PA. Prior to that, I was enlisted in the US Navy for 9 years.

In a short period of time, I saw their practice go from a start-up to a thriving practice, with good staff and nice equipment.

I noticed that whenever they bought equipment, they paid for it in full with a check. There were no credit card payments, loans, or leases. When I asked Peter, he replied: “The cash flow from the practice has to support any purchase. The trick is to figure out how to generate healthy cash flow, so you don't have to borrow money and pay a lot of interest to banks and lenders.”

One other thing I noticed was that their office seemed so well organized and everything seems to run smoothly. Both Peter and Hema are excellent managers and have systems in place so things run well.

I am constantly amazed at the depth and level of detail with which Peter is able to shed light on practice management issues. At various times, we have talked about practice systems, leadership and management, front desk issues, customer service, and marketing. Few people understand this business as well as Peter does.
